Summer Art Camp 2016!!!!

Presents: 2016 Summer Art Camp

Come join me for a summer full of fun and learning through art! Each week we will explore different techniques and materials that go along with a specific theme. We will be painting, drawing, sculpting and printmaking in the different classes available. Each week will be different, so if your child is available to sign up for more than one week they are more than welcome to come! Email or call me with any questions you might have and to register! I am offering a few discounts, so make sure you cruise through this whole page to see all the discounts available! Space is limited in each session so register soon so you don't miss your opportunity!!!

Session 1: The Wacky World of Art

In this session, we will be creating abstract art, action art, and doing some really fun science experiments related to color! We will be learning about color, shapes, lines, and patterns. This class will be extremely fun with a lot of wacky projects and a lot of excitement!!! Your child will need to bring his/her own sketchbook.  

Dates: June 6-9 (Monday-Thursday)

Time: 10:00 am -11:00 am

In this session, we will be learning about reducing, reusing, and recycling in art. We will talk about ways that we can take care of our planet. All of our art projects will be either creating art out of recycled materials or using recycled materials as our artistic tools. We will be painting, sculpting, and printmaking in this class. Your child will need to bring his/her own sketchbook.

In this session, we will be learning from the masters.  We will explore some of the most famous artists in history, examine some of their work, and discuss why they are important to learn from. Early Registration Discount: $5 off per child if you register by May 25th

 Parents are invited to stay so they can help their little artist(s) have a fun, safe experience.  We keep things pretty simple in this class, such as, reading stories, doing an art project, and having a little snack at the end.  Come join in all the fun!!!

Adult Art Classes

We will be offering a number of new painting and drawing classes that explore different techniques and materials.  These classes are for anyone that is interested in developing their creativity.  You don't have to have previous experience in art to join in the fun!  These classes are for anyone!

Friday, March 11, 2016 Sketchbook/Collage Class (Part 1) 

***This class is part one of a two part class.  We will be working in our sketchbooks learning the importance of ideas and how to translate them from our minds to a blank piece of paper.  The whole purpose of this class is to, by the end of it, feel more comfortable translating our ideas on larger paper/canvas.  We will be learning some basic drawing techniques such as value scales, contour drawing, gesture drawing, still life drawing, etc... and practicing those techniques in our sketchbooks.  We will also be learning the importance of materials and will become more familiar with a lot of different ones and how to use them. We will practice using watercolors, pencil, pen, charcoal, chalk, and pastels.  We will be doing a bit of collage work as well within the sketchbook.  You will need to bring your own sketchbook to this class.  Be sure to bring a sketchbook that is sturdy.  All other materials will be provided.

Friday, March 18, 2016 Sketchbook/Collage Class (Part 2) 

***This class is part two of a two part class.  We will be continuing our exploration in our sketchbooks as well as working more on our collages. We will be having a mini critique session and then the last half of this class we will be choosing an image from our sketchbooks to translate to canvas. You will need to bring your own sketchbook to this class.  Be sure to bring a sketchbook that is sturdy.  All other materials will be provided.

Presents: Adult Art Classes

Okay here we go...let's make some art!!!

Come and join me in the month of November for an adult art class! 

Friday, November 7th we will be painting flowers.  It's starting to get a little gloomy out and cold so I thought we could brighten up the studio with some flowers and learn some more painting techniques.  So invite your friends and come join me in my studio for a wonderful night out. Light refreshments will be served to make this a true night out!

Friday, December 5th we will be having our first Mother/Daughter art class, so invite them to come along for a wonderful night out! In this class we will be inspired by Winter.  More details to come.  To make this a true night out, light refreshments will be served.




In each class, we will be using acrylic paint on canvas.  All supplies will be provided!
